This course provides a practical and comprehensive review of common and emerging infections in correctional settings, including tuberculosis, hepatitis, HIV, MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. Participants will explore the unique challenges of infection control in corrections, strengthen skills in patient education and communication, and learn strategies for screening, isolation, outbreak response, and collaboration with custody staff.
